Most shortfills are supplied at 0mg with enough empty space inside the bottle for one or two nicotine shots. Always check how much e-liquid is inside the bottle, rather than relying only on the bottle capacity.

How Many Nicotine Shots Do I Need?

The most common final nicotine strengths for shortfills are approximately 1.5mg and 3mg.

For a standard 3mg result, add one 18mg nicotine shot to a 50ml shortfill or two 18mg nicotine shots to a 100ml shortfill.

Can I Make a 6mg or 12mg Shortfill?

Standard shortfill bottles are not designed to produce 6mg or 12mg e-liquid using ordinary 10ml nicotine shots. There is not enough empty space in the bottle, and adding the amount required would significantly dilute the flavour and change the VG/PG ratio.

If you normally vape at 6mg, 12mg or a higher strength, we recommend choosing a ready-mixed 10ml e-liquid in your preferred nicotine strength instead of attempting to add multiple shots to a shortfill.

Which Nicotine Shot Should I Choose?

9mg 70VG/30PG

Choose a 9mg nicotine shot if you want a lighter final strength. One shot added to 50ml, or two shots added to 100ml, produces approximately 1.5mg e-liquid.

18mg 50VG/50PG

This is suitable for 50/50 shortfills or customers who want a slightly thinner finished liquid. One shot in 50ml, or two shots in 100ml, produces approximately 3mg e-liquid.

18mg 70VG/30PG

The standard choice for most high-VG shortfills and sub-ohm e-liquids. It helps maintain the intended 70VG/30PG balance while producing approximately 3mg e-liquid.

18mg 70VG/30PG Ice

This produces approximately 3mg while adding an extra cooling effect. Choose this option if you want to make a fruit, drink or menthol shortfill feel colder.

20mg 70VG/30PG Nic Salt

Nic salt shots offer a smoother-feeling nicotine hit than standard freebase nicotine. One shot added to 50ml, or two added to 100ml, produces approximately 3.3mg e-liquid.

How to Add Nicotine Shots to a Shortfill

1. Check that the shortfill bottle has enough empty space.
2. Remove the cap and carefully remove the shortfill bottle nozzle.
3. Empty the required nicotine shot bottles into the shortfill.
4. Securely replace the nozzle and bottle cap.
5. Shake the bottle thoroughly until the nicotine and e-liquid are evenly mixed.
6. Allow any bubbles to settle before filling your vape tank or pod.

Do not vape a nicotine shot by itself. Nicotine shots are intended to be mixed with nicotine-free shortfill e-liquid.
